Club Barter to merge with Confidia AG in Europe

Club Barter has been working hard to provide better solutions to our thousands of members. 

In 2020 Club Barter successfully received a Federal Money Transmitter (MSB) Licence in the USA. 

In 2019 Club Barter entered into talks with a Financial Services company offering online payments and Asset Management in Switzerland. We are now happy to announce that Club Barter is now merging with Confidia AG in Switzerland in order to offer banking and payments solutions to our global members. 

This will provide international cash payment solutions to our members, similar to that of PayPal. 

Club Barter is now in the process of migrating member accounts over to the Confidia Banking software platform. After the migration, new native mobile apps will be released for iPhone and Android users. In the meantime all websites and current mobile apps will continue to operate normally. 

Confidia AG is a Regulated FinTech (FInancial Technology / Payment Service Provider) in Switzerland / Europe and has begun the application process for an international banking licence. Thus, Club Barter will be owned and operated by a bank offering cash and barter solutions globally, allowing members to accept payments locally in Europe, UK, USA, Australia, and Thailand. As it quickly expands, additional countries will be added to the local payments offering. 

Confidia AG operates under the regulatory supervision of ARIF Genf (Member No.: 3188), a self-regulating body approved by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) for the supervision of the financial intermediaries referred to in article 2 para. 3 of the Swiss Federal Law on combating money laundering and terrorism financing in the financial sector (AMLA). ARIF is also recognized by FINMA as a professional organization for laying down rules of conduct relating to the practice of the profession of independent asset manager within the meaning of the Swiss Federal Act on collective investment schemes.
